I believe in creating a supportive and engaging environment within my private studio. As a cellist with experience in classical music as well as rock, pop, and musical theater, I encourage my students to follow their own musical tastes and interests. I pair the music that inspires them with scales, technique building exercises, and music theory.
I believe that music is an incredible tool through which to explore creativity, learn self discipline, and enjoy the rewards that come from hard work and dedication!
As a musician who began my training in a public school music program, I have a passion for teaching and working with programs that give back to the community. I maintain a private teaching studio and have worked as a cello teacher, music theory teacher, and chamber music coach. I currently teach at the Washington Heights Community Conservatory and coach the Hunter College Symphony.
I am currently graduate adjunct faculty at NYU, and teaching assistant to Marion Feldman.
